Modern Slavery Statement 2025Â
1. Introduction
Navigator MSL is committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business dealings and relationships. We recognise our responsibility under the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015 to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking in our business operations and supply chains.
This statement sets out the steps we have taken during the financial year ending 2025 to ensure that slavery and human trafficking are not taking place within our organisation or our supply chains.
2. Our Business
Navigator MSL provides over 4500 product lines, including brass fittings, heating and plumbing supplies across the UK. We employ less than 100 staff and work with a range of suppliers to deliver our services.
3. Our Commitment
We have a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking. We are committed to:
- Ensuring that our business and supply chains are free from slavery, servitude, forced or compulsory labour, and human trafficking.
- Acting transparently, fairly, and with integrity in all our business relationships.
4. Policies and Procedures
We have implemented the following policies to support our commitment:
- Anti-Slavery and Human Trafficking Policy – setting out our stance on modern slavery.
- Whistleblowing Policy – enabling employees to raise concerns about unethical behaviour without fear of reprisal.
- Recruitment and Employment Policies – ensuring robust right-to-work checks and fair treatment of workers.
5. Due Diligence in Supply Chains
We expect our suppliers and contractors to uphold the same high standards. To mitigate risks:
- We carry out due diligence on new suppliers, including reviewing their own modern slavery policies.
- We include anti-slavery clauses in our supplier contracts where appropriate.
- We review higher-risk suppliers and sectors on a periodic basis.
6. Training and Awareness
We provide training and guidance to staff involved in recruitment, procurement, and contract management so they can identify and report potential risks of modern slavery.
7. Measuring Effectiveness
We monitor the effectiveness of our actions by:
- Reviewing supplier compliance annually.
- Recording and responding to any reported concerns.
- Updating policies and procedures where required.
8. Approval
This statement has been approved by the Board of Directors of Navigator MSL and will be reviewed annually.
