Growing Opportunities in Uganda

Thursday, 22 January 2026

Following on from our ongoing support of a rural Ugandan community, we’re pleased to share another positive milestone.

The pupils have recently harvested their first successful crop of eggplants, grown and cared for by the children themselves. The freshly harvested produce was then prepared and enjoyed as part of their school lunch, marking a meaningful step towards practical learning and self‑sufficiency.

These projects form part of a wider programme focused on education, wellbeing, and long‑term sustainability. Seeing the children take pride in growing, harvesting, and sharing their own food is a powerful reminder of how hands‑on initiatives can support confidence, independence, and community development.

We're proud to continue supporting initiatives that help create lasting, positive change within the community, and we look forward to sharing further updates as the project develops.
